How is the Cloudogu EcoSystem structured?
The architecture of the platform explained.
The on-premises operating platform for your IT infrastructure
Thanks to its modular design, the Cloudogu EcoSystem combines the advantages of on-premises and cloud operations. With its LowOps approach, it offers efficient operations combined with great flexibility and increased independence from individual infrastructure and tool providers.
Fully automated provisioning
Choose your features, the platform does the rest
The complete basic configuration of the Cloudogu EcoSystem is done during the initial installation of the platform. You only have to provide some basic information and to choose the components you need.
After you chose the tools, the fully automated installation starts. Dependencies between the components are recognized by the system and the platform gets configured accordingly.
By creating blueprints, you can standardize the tools used across a variety of instances.
On-Premises instance
All important decisions in your hand
You have full control over all your instances of the Cloudogu EcoSystem because they are operated on-premises.
This gives you full decision-making authority over the operation of the platform. You can choose
• whether the Cloudogu EcoSystem is operated publicly or privately, at an IaaS provider or in your own data center.
• when a new tool is installed.
• when tools are updated.
Central Cloud backend
Manage all in one place
All Dogus of the Cloudogu EcoSystem are provided via a central backend. From there, the tools to be installed are downloaded to your local instances and configured accordingly. Even after the initial installation, you can easily install new tools or update tools that have already been installed.
All versions of the available tools are continuously monitored for critical security vulnerabilities and updates are integrated tested before release to ensure smooth updates.
Docker© Container
Easy operations through containerization
The Cloudogu EcoSystem provides dockerized and standardized tools through a cloud service. Beyond that, the platform utilizes the general advantages of containerization like minimal use of resources or high security inside the platform.
The easy operation of the dockerized tools is even more simplified through the internal services of the platform. The so called “ces-setup” and “cesapp” applications for example enable to easy installation and update of Dogus, because you can manage all of them with the same, simple, commands.
