For the seventh time, the Developer Week attracted numerous software developers and IT experts to Nuremberg between June 24th and 27th 2019. In more than 200 talks by more than 150 experts, the participants could choose between news and innovations in the subjects web, desktop and mobile applications including technologies like .NET, Java, Python, machine learning and JavaScript. Around the lecture rooms roughly 30 exhibitors offered manifold opportunities to learn about new products and services for software development.

This year, Cloudogu participated for the first time with a booth to discuss everything related to DevOps with the participants. We think that our gig was a complete success, because we are delighted with the openness and interest of the people we talked to. We gained interesting insight into issues like how conference participants apprehend DevOps in the first place and what they know about it.

It became clear to us, that many participants already vaguely know the term DevOps, but that the underlying procedures and their specific implementation in everyday life is still perceived as difficult to grasp and vague. For us at Cloudogu, we provide assistance to fill gaps in knowledge, to remove ambiguity and to illustrate the DevOps mindset and its advantages.

Besides the great discussions at our booth, the agile stage play „Agilität, 2 Schritte zurück“ by Timothée Bourguignon (MATHEMA Software GmbH) and David Tanzer was a highlight. It demonstrates through its remarkable concept what separates the Developer Week from other events: over four days it offers exceptionally wide range of topics that are presented in an intuitive and catchy way to the participants.

Also the Community Night on Tuesday with its user groups and meetups was a great opportunity for interesting and inspiring exchange between the many participants of the Developer Week.

Therefore, we would like to say a warm thank you to all the visitors, participants and dialog partners for all the great experiences. Also, we would like to say thank you to the fair management for the great support during our attendance.
